On June 2-3, 2011 at the Columbia Convention Center in Columbia, South Carolina, the USGBC South Carolina Chapter
(USGBC-SC) will host Sustain SC,
South Carolina’s Sustainable Communities Conference & Exposition. During this exciting two-day event, learn about current and pending green building legislation in South Carolina,
emerging green jobs and business opportunities, LEED, and a host of information
that will advance your understanding of green building design and construction,
and its role in cultivating sustainable communities. Sustain SC features:
- 2 Keynote Speakers who are influencing and advancing sustainable
building practices nationally.
- A Pre-Conference LEED Green Associate workshop that will educate attendees on the key concepts
needed to prepare them to take the LEED Green Associate Professional
Accreditation Exam.
- 2 Building Tours of landmark LEED certified buildings/homes in the Columbia, SC area.
- 21 Continuing Education Seminars providing education on three tracks (Building,
Community, and Practice) of various topics related to green building.
- Social Events providing opportunities to: meet green building leaders, owners,
providers, clients, and employers; view award winning projects.
- Exposition Hall featuring over 30 Exhibits representing various sectors of the southeast
region’s sustainable building industry.
Attendees will include architects, engineers, developers, realtors,
building owners, facility managers, academia, landscape architects, interior
designers, utility providers, manufacturers, service providers, non-profits and
government from South Carolina and throughout the region.
